Tickets to BYOV are sold:

Bring Your Own Venues have the option to sell any unsold ticket inventory at their venue’s front of house starting an hour before show time and as such, tickets may no longer be available at our Festival Box Office locations. Please be aware that there may be the possibility of purchasing rush tickets at the BYOV door.

Locations of Bring Your Own Venues are listed on pages 50 and 51 of the Fringe Program Guide »

PLEASE NOTE: All Festival Passes must be redeemed at Festival Box Offices. Tickets sold at BYOV doors can only be purchased with cash.

Please note that in order to help us cover our operation costs, a $2 Capital Replacement Fee applies to each ticket purchased. The Capital Replacement Fee (CRF) is an amount applied to each ticket to support the partial recovery of expenditures, rentals and maintenance associated with the infrastructure of the Fringe Festival and the TransAlta Arts Barns, the Festival’s primary venue. In 2009, the Capital Replacement Fee offset 7% of the Festival expenses.

The Double Fringer Pass allows up to two people two tickets to any 10 performances, or one ticket to any 20 performances, or any combination of the two to a maximum of 20 tickets. The Double Fringer passes cost $200.

**** NO FESTIVAL PASSES CAN BE USED TO REDEEM TICKETS AT THE DOOR OF BYOVs ****

We at the Fringe are sticklers for punctuality. With over 1,000 performances happening during the 11-day period, we need to be sure everything starts on time!

Patrons who arrive after the performance has begun will not be admitted under any circumstances. The makeshift nature of many of our venues and the intimate environment of the shows make latecomers extremely disruptive to the performance, so please do not try to enter if the doors are closed.

We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes prior to show start time to avoid disappointment.

Once again: we will not let you enter a venue once a performance has begun. If you leave the venue during a performance, you will not be allowed to re-enter it.

Refunds are only issued if there are cancellations or changes in the schedule of a performance. Such refunds are handled at the Central Box Office [located in lobby of TransAlta Arts Barns]. Since the money generated from ticket sales is transferred directly to the artists, the Festival is not authorized to offer refunds for any other reason.
